We live our lives with impact as our north star.

We are both originally from New York, moving to Miami in our late twenties to pursue our careers. We met back in 2008, and since the beginning, we have both always been very passionate about making an impact, leaving the world a better place before we go.

After having our two children, this need became even greater, which led us to supporting and serving other leaders as they actualized their purpose. Now, we have naturally intertwined our work and have supported each other, which led to us starting, Sustaining Impact, Inc.

Meet Ian

Ian started his impact working for after school programs in Westchester County, NY, and shortly after he completed his M.S.Ed, he moved to Miami and became a teacher for a local elementary school. He saw the desperate need for more engagement and empowerment of the youth of his community. In 2008, he started The Motivational Edge, a solutions focused 501(c)(3) youth development organization that leverages culturally relevant arts and other platforms to engage, educate and empower young lives. The Motivational Edge continues to be a success story, a cornerstone in the community of Allapattah and now expanding into the Treasure Coast. They have had the opportunity to work with the top childcare agencies in the state, they have gained support by organizations like the Miami Heat, NFLPA, and artists such as Lil Wayne, DJ Irie, and YesJulz.

In 2021, he joined forces with his business partner Michael Williams to create D.A.S.H -Dreams and Success Homes, a real estate and investment enterprise, that provides housing and experiential learning programs to educate, develop, and support young adults aging out of foster care with establishing their dreams, self-sufficiency, & financial freedom.

Over the course of his nonprofit career, he has helped leaders start their own nonprofits and impact enterprises to create their own impact, and has learned to efficiently streamline the process through his many years of experience.

Meet Monica

Monica started her impact as a young attorney working for different law firms after she graduated and became a licensed attorney in 2008. She ultimately founded her own law firm with her business partners, RKE Law Group, in 2010 where her team helped to save hundreds of homes from foreclosure during the housing crisis. In 2012, she became a mother and soon realized the importance of mindfulness and meditation as a young entrepreneur and owner of a busy and growing business. In 2015, she left her law firm to expand her impact as a transformational leadership coach and speaker and in 2018 completed her first TEDx performance. She has had the opportunity to speak and lead workshops for some of our world’s top companies such as Amazon, Gucci, Ricoh, NFLPA, Digital Surgeons, TD Bank, to name a few.

Today, she continues to impact humanity through her workshops, coaching programs, retreats, and speaking. She has developed herself as an artist, poet and singer and has weaved artistry into her speaking so that her message is felt multidimensionally.

She has worked for some of the top business coaches, supporting them with her skills of strategic business coaching and mindset work and has supported hundreds of business leaders with their business and mindset to reach their goals and create the impact they desire.
